The Athletic Booster Club meeting, scheduled for Monday, August 11, 2008 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, August 20th, 2008 at 6pm in the school library.

Drivers Education Information
Fall 2008 Driver's Education classes at West Aurora H.S. will begin August 25, 2008. The sign-up sheet is in the main office. These classes will begin at 6:30 a.m. at West Aurora H.S. Any ACCHS student taking this class will then be bussed back to our campus in time for school. The cost is $200 and a separate $20 fee for the Secretary of State permit fee. Students must be 15 years of age by the start of class on 8/25/08. Any questions can be directed to Mrs. Chatterton in the main office by calling (630) 907-0095.
SOAR Summer Reading Program Mandatory for all Students
Current and incoming ACCHS students have a new summer reading project to participate in - the SOAR Program (the SUMMER OF ADVENTUROUS READING). Instead of the English department mandating specific books to be read by class-level, each student has had the oppportunity to select a book title chosen by a faculty member who will then facilitate a one-day "book group" in the fall term. Each student will be held accountable for reading the book, coming up with several discussion questions for the book group to discuss and then participating in the discussion.
